Born the son of the late August and the late Emma (Muchitsch) Sholder.
Beloved husband of Judith A. (Schreckengost) Sholder. They have been happily together for 30 years.
Dear father of Danielle Rodney of Turtle Creek, and Nicole (Eric) LaGorga of Monroeville.
Treasured grandfather of Raven, Cameron, Brianna, Lena, and Desmond
Loving great grandfather of Nova.
Step father of Brian Schreckengost.
Brother of the late Kenneth (the late LoRaine) Sholder.
Gus is a graduate of Churchill High School class of '67. He received his Bachelors in Marketing at Robert Morris University. Gus honorably served in the Navy Reserves during the Vietnam War. He worked 20 years at the East Pittsburgh and Trafford Westinghouse locations. Afterwards he worked as an inventory specialist for Progeny Systems. Gus enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing softball and cheering on the Steelers.
Friends welcome January 8th from 1-2 p.m. at the Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350 where a Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m.

My deepest condolences to the family for the loss of Gus and Judy. Gus and I worked together at Progeny for a long time. He was great guy to work with and, not to mention, golf with. He and I also had a blast touring a submarine and air craft carrier a couple of years ago. I'll definitely miss Gus.

Gus was a childhood friend. We played wiffle ball and lots of sports and card games. He was always fun to be with. I lost touch with him as we grew but my memories of him now bring a smile to my face. Rest in peace Gus.
