It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Augustine Carmello Sr., age 82, who departed this life on April 28, 2025, in Morgan City, Louisiana. Born on March 22, 1943, in Cheneyville, Louisiana, Augustine was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, whose love for his family knew no bounds.
Augustine found great happiness in tending to yards, and his passion for lawn care was evident in every lawn he touched. His green thumb and hard work made the world around him a little brighter. He was also an avid collector, always on the lookout for treasures that piqued his interest.

He also leaves behind a cherished legacy through his grandchildren: Nicholas Dupuy, Alexis Dupuy, Sophia Landry, Cheyenne Holsten, Mitchell Carmello, Quinn Carmello, Ethan Le, and Connor Mai, Clary Mai. As well as his great-grandchildren: Annalise Fazzio and Aubrey-Ann Gros.
