Angela Carmello Obituary

Angela Nicole Carmello, 52, of Alsace Township, passed away January 11, 2024 in the Reading Hospital. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of Alphonse E. Carmello, West Lawn and the late Margaret L. (Spanier) Lavallee. Angela was a successful real estate investor and mortgage broker for over 30 years, operating mainly as Carmel Enterprises and The Mortgage Outlet. She graduated from Wilson High School in 1989 and went on to earn her associates degree from RACC. She purchased her first house at the age of 21 and for three decades invested in properties and people. If you had a problem, she had a solution. This was evidenced by the award she received for being an Entrepreneur of the Year. She enjoyed family, friends and travelling, and loved a good fight. In addition to her father, she is survived by two brothers- Thomas Patrick husband of Cathryn Carmello and their three sons, Newmanstown, John David husband of Stacey Carmello and their two daughters, Muhlenberg Twp., her half-sister - Christy Lynne Carmello wife of Vince Pisciotta, her son Colin, his wife and their two children, Gaithersburg MD, her half-brother - Matthew Donald Lavallee, Somerville MA, and two step-sisters - April Book and Celeste Lavallee Etlinger. She was pre-deceased by her step-sister- Beth Lavallee. Among the many people whose lives were touched by Angela, there are two that deserve special recognition: Tina Smith, a lifelong friend with whom she shared an unbreakable sisterly bond, and Dominic Zelano, grandson of Robert, whom Angela chose to love as her own flesh and blood. Visitation from Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., One East Lancaster Ave., Shillington on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 8:30-9:45 AM.
