Aurelio Medina

Aurelio Medina Jr., Age 65, passed away on 28 November 2023. At the age of 17, Aurelio Medina Jr. enlisted in the U.S. Army. Aurelio valued his time in the service highly and attained the rank of Sergeant First Class. As part of his service, he served during Operation Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and the Persian Gulf War. He has received the Army commendation Medal, National Defense, AF Reserve, Overseas Service, Expert 9MM, Infantryman Badge, Air Assault badge and his Army retired lapel while in service. He was proud of his service and would often boast about being a drill sergeant and mentoring/coaching future soldiers in becoming all they could be. He would often use military phrases like, "At ease", "About Face", "Toe the line", "Attention", and "Continue to March", when speaking to family and friends as a reminder that you can not take the Soldier out of the Army. Aurelio is survived by his daughter, Celinda Amari, Natascha Medina; son, Aurelio Medina and grandchildren; Felicity Medina, Aurelio Medina (AJ), Carlito Medina, Serena Walsh and Shayla Amari; four sisters; his loyal friend, Cecilia Gorsegner and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
