Aurora Marie Perales

On Sunday, November 16, 2025, Aurora Esquivel Perales passed away from battling cancer for over a year. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 79. Aurora was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. 

Aurora is survived by her loving husband, Ramon Aldaco Perales of 54 years; children, Melissa Perales-Green, Jennifer Perales Castillo; grandchildren Taylor and Patrick Michael Jr Castillo along with her great granddaughter Scarlett Castillo Delagarza. Aurora is preceded in death by her parents Guadalupe and Olivia Esquivel, siblings Bertha, Magdalena, Alicia. Her family will remember her with her unique personality, full of energy, her loud laughter, with a huge sense of humor, humble and down-to-earth. Aurora was a very spiritual person; she enjoyed conversations with new and old friends. She also had a passion for decorating throughout the holidays. Christmas time was full of celebration, singing, dancing, making cookies and making new memories. She was adored by dozens of nieces and nephews. She devoted her life to her family, her love for her grandchildren was truly breathtaking and genuine; they were her world. Another one of Aurora’s passions was her best friends from her Fitness club, who she considered her second family. 

Services will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral is located at 7735 Gibbs Sprawl Rd, San Antonio, TX 78239. December 2, 2025, Viewing for immediate family from three to f ive o clock. Rosary follows at seven o’clock. Mass Services will be held at one o’clock at St. Pius X Catholic Church located at 3303 Urban Crest San Antonio TX 78209 followed by procession to Chapel Hill.
