Austin John Birdseye, age 5, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 29, 2020. Private funeral services were held at the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home on Saturday, December 19, 2020. Entombment followed at Lakeview Memory Gardens.

Austin was born on October 17, 2015 in Tarzana, California

Austin was such a bright light in what oftentimes can be a very dark world. Austin loved everyone and would make sure you knew it. His love was so powerful that you could truly feel it within you. He loved to sing in the car, especially with his mom and brother, knew the lyrics to every song and gave it his all when he sang. He was simply born with a passion for music. He would ask for songs from all genres and related to every single one, depending on his mood and whom he was with, he would ask for a country, rock, pop, r&b, rap or “crazy” song. He loved books and would sit on the couch with you reading story after story. He was very creative and would color pictures all the time - making them for everyone he loved, writing his letters, and spelling out your name.

He had a true passion for life and lived every day with energy, love, jokes, smiles and laughter. No matter what was going on, he never woke up mad or held a grudge towards anyone. Austin would say hello to everyone he met and carry on a conversation with you as if he had known you his entire life. It didn’t matter to him how long he had known someone; he loved you anyways and treated you as if you were family. He danced to the beat of his own drum and made every day with him special. He had this cheeky smile that would make anyone laugh and these bright eyes that lit up the entire room. He was loving beyond words and, from the day he was born, he would give these hugs that helped you more than they helped him. He had a natural instinct to help others. He loved kids and animals and would play with them for hours – showing them new toys, making up stories and filling the house with laughter and positive vibes.

In his short 5 years, Austin touched more lives and hearts than most people do in a lifetime. He had a soul that would set this world on fire and he knew it. Austin was destined to be a hero, a leader, and a mentor. He was going to change this world and everyone that knew him, knew it.

There are no words to express just how broken-hearted our entire family is at the loss of Austin, but his memory will forever be carried on through and within us. We will honor him every day and hope to feel and see his presence all around us.

Austin is survived by his twin brother Colton, mother, father, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and his beloved cousins, friends, and extended family.
