Austin Eugene Furner, age 26 of Carolina Beach, NC, passed away unexpectedly on August 19, 2024.
Born October 25, 1997, to Barb Hill & Mike Furner, Austin spent most of his childhood in North Brookfield. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Frank & Linda Furner.
Austin graduated from WCS and went on to serve his country in the US Marine Corp from 2016-2020. He worked as a heavy equipment operator in North Carolina.
His true love in life was spending time with his wife & kids. He appreciated every moment he spent with them, and there was nothing that brought him more joy.
Austin will be remembered for his infectious smile and his positive outlook on life. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. He had a deep relationship with God which helped shape Austin into an amazing young man.
Surviving are his wife and soul mate, Annika Furner, his 3 beautiful boys, Christopher, Jack & Austin Jr. His parents Barb Hill (Joe Sitts), Mike Furner (Kelly Machold), brother Brayton Furner (Kim Furner), grandparents Rich & Sue Hill. His nephew Grayson and niece Paisley. His in-laws Chris & Stephanie Hill. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, a brother & sister-in-law & an innumerable number of friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, 199 Stafford Ave., Waterville, NY 13480.
Interment with military honors will follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery.
A time to celebrate Austin's life will be held at the Sangerfield American Legion, 8083 Route 20, Sangerfield, NY, 13455, immediately following the interment.
There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 210 E. Main St., Waterville, NY 13480.
