Austin Garret Godwin, a beloved son, friend, and father, left this world unexpectedly on January 28, 2026. Born in Arlington, Texas, on April 28, 1992, to Kevin and Misty Godwin. Austin was a vibrant, free-spirited soul with a love for adventure and a restless curiosity, often drawn to movement, discovery, and the outdoors. He noticed things others passed by and found interest in the small, unexpected details of life. He saw value in the unusual and was often drawn to objects and moments that felt meaningful simply because they were unique.

Music was an important part of Austin’s life. He listened to many styles, using music as a way to feel, cope, and connect. It reflected parts of him that words often couldn’t.

Austin’s life was complex, but his heart was genuine. His Faith in Jesus preserved him through the hardships he endured in life. Those who knew Austin will remember his smile, his energy, his individuality, and the way he connected to the world around him in his own way. He is preceded in death by grandmothers, Marna Joan Godwin and Ivy Vaughn, grandfather, Charles Vaughn, uncle, Tommy Godwin, aunt, Sharon Mayoras.
