Austin Dewayne Grubbs, 49, of Lee County, GA, died August 24, 2024 at his residence. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 3:00 pm at The Chapel of Sherwood Baptist Church. Rev. Garrett Grubbs will officiate.
Austin was born on May 26, 1975 in Albany, GA and lived most of his life in Lee County, GA. He graduated from Lee County High School in 1994 where he was on the Tennis Team. Austin attended Albany Technical College and loved hunting and fishing. He attended Sherwood Baptist Church and was a shop supervisor and welder employed with RHC, Inc.
Survivors include his wife, Melissa Edwards Grubbs and his two children, Samuel Grubbs and Emily Grubbs all of Lee County, GA, his mother and father, Teresa and Ralph Grubbs of Terrell County, GA, his grandmother, Lucille Glow of Albany, GA and his siblings, Dean Grubbs of Sopchoppy, FL, Suzanne (Stephen) Moss of Donalsonville, GA, Derrick Grubbs of Tallahassee, FL and Garrett (Traci) Grubbs of Valdosta, GA. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Willie Arch Glow, a nephew, Gabe Grubbs and his mother-in-law, Anita Moody.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm Tuesday before the service in the Atrium of Sherwood Baptist Church.

Austin has received the ultimate healing from cancer and is now celebrating in Heaven.
