Austin Hart Jr. (affectionately known as "Pops") was born October 10th, 1941, to Austin Sr. and Dilsia Hart in Bradenton, Florida.

Following his brother, Jenkins (Jake) Hart, he relocated to Rochester, NY. He joined the Church of Christ and married Mildred Brown Hart on July 21, 1963. They built a life together with their five children: Delores, Austin III, Kenny, Chinetta and Eric.

Austin was a fierce protector of his family, and he demonstrated the importance of providing and showing up for his children. He and Mildred taught life lessons including authenticity, empathy, compassion, gratitude, and strength.

Austin and Mildred created a welcoming space for all in their home. They loved hosting family and friends and creating a safe space.

Austin was a man of the people, and from an early age, he demonstrated his commitment to service. Many stories were told of his younger years, checking in on his elders. This dedication continued throughout his life as he understood the importance of making people feel seen. From serving in church to community organizations to youth sports, he enjoyed giving back without any expectations in return.

Austin joins his loving wife Mildred and his parents Austin Sr. and Dilsia Hart, siblings Jenkins (Jake) Hart, Cora Woodward, Caretha Goodrum (Tut), Virginia Brundidge, Theodore Hart, Earl Hart, Sr., Johnny Hart Sr., Alphonso Scott and James Well (Big Bro).

Austin leaves behind family and friends who loved and cherished him. He is survived by his children, Delores (Leighton), Austin (Miko), Kenny (Susen), Chinetta (Darren)and Eric (Sia); grandchildren Yvonne, Marquis, Maurice, Chiquita, Erika, Chiffon, Austin IV, Daria, London, and Kenyatta; bonus grandchildren Johslyn, Brian Jr., Antoinette and George; great-grandchildren Myasia, Joycelyn, Marquis Jr., Shanna, Ma'liyah, Terry Jr., A'maria, Mirachi, Neila, Terryasia, and Melvin Jr.; and a host of bonus great-grandchilden. He is also survived by his sisters, Minnie Sears and Bennie Lee Reed, sister-in-law, Barbara Withers and as well as many loved nieces and nephews.

Austin's bold spirit will always be remembered.

Austin and Mildred will forever live in our hearts and minds. We are grateful for the time we had with them in this life.
