Austin Monroe Powell, age 24, of Hillsboro, passed away Friday, April 18, 2025 at Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born the son of Charles David Powell Jr. and Brenda Bunns Powell on June 26, 2000 in Cookeville, TN. Austin had the sweetest and most loving disposition. Every therapist, hospital worker, or person to cross paths with him loved him. Austin enjoyed being outside, especially near the water. He liked throwing rocks in the lake and watching water spill over the spillway. Austin enjoyed walks in nature, it was a great hike if he could find a new feather to add to his collection. His favorite TV show was Scooby Doo. One of Austins favorite activities was to eat McDonalds chicken nuggets at the dog park while he watched the dogs play. In addition to his loving parents and caregivers, Austin was survived by his siblings, David Anthony (Kelsey) Powell and Amber Marie (Chris) Powell both of Florida; maternal grandparents, Carrie Walker and Tom Amburgey; paternal grandparents, Charles and Deborah Powell; and great grandmother, Betty Amburgey. Austin was preceded in death by great grandmother, Doris Walker and his close friend and companion, his dog, Brandy. Austin will be cremated and no formal services will be held at this time. Turner & Son Funeral Home is serving the family. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Austin, please visit our Tree Store.
