Ava Byus Obituary
Ava Jo Byus, 71, of Spiro, OK, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 12, 2025. Ava was an ordained minister and a self-taught guitar player. She is survived by her husband Ronnie Byus; three daughters, Tammy Buie (Robert), Jennifer Akin (Brent), and Christy Rice Youngblood (John); stepchildren Brad Crockett and Brianna Morris; sisters Mary Cason (Jack), Jeannie Bowen (Leamon); and a brother Larry Bowen. Numerous grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Wanda Bowen, her brother Leamon Bowen, her grandparents, and a stepson Jake Byus.
A graveside service will be held at Whitefield Cemetery in Whitefield, OK, at 10:00a.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2025, under the direction of RiverGlenn Cremation and Funeral Services. Pallbearers will be her sons-in-law Robert Buie, Brent Akin, and John Youngblood, and grandchildren Jeanette Romine, Dakota Romine, and Sean Spencer. Honorary pallbearers are Zachary Cason, Joshua Cason, and Samson Siharath.
