Avanell Campbell Cobb, 85, of Woodbury passed away Friday, February 20, 2026 at St. Thomas Rutherford. Born in Cannon Co., she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Alberta Mingle Campbell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Shelby Jean Farless, Willie Eugene Farless, Leann Farless and Herbert Thomas Cobb, Jr., grandchildren, Marlana Farless and Amy Cobb and her siblings, Wanda Womack, Floyd Campbell and Tex Campbell.

She is survived by her children, Rosa Darlene Hammons of Murfreesboro, Bobby Joe Cobb and Nellie Stone both of Woodbury; grandchildren, Regina Milligan, Buddy Alan Davis, Jason Davis, Christopher Davis, Travis Davis, Dewayne (Misty) Burnett, Dallas Rogers, Dustin Rogers, Justin Rogers, Bobby Cobb, Zachary Taylor, Megan Cobb, Jessica Cobb, Jackson Cobb, Thomas (Jessica) Stone, Hunter Killborn, Herbert Cobb, Hayden Cobb, Chloe Cobb and Carson Cobb; siblings, Wayne (Paulette) Campbell, Wilma Bogle and Teresa (Mark) Housechildt. Also surviving are numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A member of the Shiloh Baptist Church, she worked at Colonial Shirt Factory. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, journaling, being outside growing her flowers and gardening, receiving family photos and cards. Most of all, she was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother. She was many great things to so many people.

Her family will receive friends Monday, February 23, 2026 beginning at 10:00 A.M. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at Reed Cemetery.
