With hearts full of sorrow and love we share the passing of our beloved daughter, Averie Anna James. Averie’s time with us was far too short, but she is leaving a deeply profound impact on everyone who knew and loved her.
She was born and raised in Arlington, TX, Averie was a bright, illuminating soul with a heart as big as her smile. From a young age, she poured her energy and creativity into dance, she attended a specialty school dedicated to classical ballet. Her passion for dance was evident both on and off stage when she would regularly corral anyone around the house, climb onto the coffee table in her Frozen dress and high heels, pouring her heart into “Let It Go” filling the entire room with smiles and joy.
Averie had the most endearing way of saying certain words growing up. She lovingly called spaghetti "psgetti," pancakes "pam-cakes," and would pronounce girl as "geail," always bringing a smile to our faces. She had a love for all things that made life sparkle – makeup, shopping and anything “aesthetic”. She had a signature snack lineup: Alani drinks, Takis, pickles, jugs of milk and olives but nothing meant more to her than the people around her. Fiercely loyal and deeply intuitive, Averie cared for her friends and family with maturity beyond her years. She had a natural way of making others feel seen, understood and loved.
Though her journey was not always easy, Averie carried both strength and softness within her. She was resilient, kind and full of light – a light that will continue to shine in the hearts of those her knew her best. Averie will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by countless family members and friends.
She is survived by her parents, Mark and Monica James; grandparents, Gregg and Ethel Heape; Jason and Melissa James, Stacy and Chance Smith and family, Mike and Molly Lynn and family, Kimberlee (bio mother) and Renzo Tubiñez and Coraline Hayes.
