AZALEE HINSHAW WHALEY

AZALEE HINSHAW WHALEY, age 102, of Tullahoma, Tenn., departed this life on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Whaley was born in Francisco, Ala. to the late John Yeargan Hinshaw and Joanna Stovall Hinshaw. Mrs. Whaley was a member of the Wesley Heights Methodist Church in Tullahoma for many years. After her marriage to her late husband, B.F. Whaley, they relocated to Chicago, Ill. where she was employed at an airplane factory during WWII. They returned to Tennessee and Mrs. Whaley was then employed for approximately 20 years as an inspector at the former Hat Factory in Winchester until it's closing. She then went to work as an inspector for Business Card South in Tullahoma and worked there for 20 years until her retirement. She loved playing Bingo, and was an "AVID" Black Friday Shopper. She will be greatly missed and remembered for her deep love for her family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, John Yeargin Whaley and one brother and 3 sisters. She is survived by her son, Bob Whaley of Tullahoma, Granddaughter, Melissa Phillips and husband, Greg of Estill Springs, Tenn., Great-Granddaughters; Rebecca Winton and husband, Jeremy of Tullahoma, Cadence Dawson and husband, Rusty of Cowan, Tenn., Great-Grandsons; Kirk Winton of Manchester, and Chayton Colt Whaley and wife, Rachel of Chattanooga, Tenn. 3-Great-Great-Grandchildren; Temprence, Gideon and Azalee Winton.

Services for Mrs. Whaley will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, December 27, 2025, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Chaplin Ken Keller, officiating.

Visitation with the family will be held from 11:00 A.M. Saturday prior to the service at 12:00.

Interment will follow services at Franklin Memorial Gardens in Winchester.
