B.V. ‘Butch’ Keyes crossed over surrounded by her family Sunday, April 6, 2025 after an extended illness. She was born in Nemacolin, PA to Frank L. and Elizabeth (Schuman) Palcko.
She retired from Nickles Bakery after 30 years of service and was a volunteer of the American Red Cross with 45 years of service. In her spare time, Butch could be found cheering on our home teams, including the Browns, Indians, Cavs, and Buckeyes.
She was a devout parishioner of St. Clement Church (Holy Family Parish), where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and served over 44 years at the annual festival’s sausage stand.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Frank W. Palcko of Navarre, and Andrew Palcko of Oxnard, CA; sisters, Mary Ann Frame of Nashville, TN and Betty Veon of Dunnellon, FL.
She is survived by her daughter, Joniece (Ray) George of Navarre and son, Rick (Holly) Keyes of Ashland; several grandchildren, and great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her beloved feline companion, Poochie.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 5-7 pm at the Paquelet Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Clement Catholic Church (Holy Family Parish) in Navarre on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 11 am. Burial will follow at St. Clement Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Aultman Hospice or Compassionate Care Center. To share a message with Butch's family please sign the online guest book.
