Barb Robbins

Barbara S. Robbins, age 91, of Black Lake, died peacefully at home with her family at her side, on Sunday January 22, 2023. The daughter of Wilbur "Gray" and Mildred (Pettit) Harman, Barb was born in Greenbush on April 15, 1931. She married Glenn Robbins on August 26, 1950 and they made their home in Onaway. Barb worked in food service at the UAW Education Center from its opening in 1970 until her retirement in 1992.
Surviving Barbara are daughters, Rosalie (Eric) Rose and Carolyn Robbins, both of Onaway; son, Steve (Kathy) Robbins, also of Onaway; seven grandchildren, Tim Robbins, Travis (Megan) Robbins, Chris (Lisa) Robbins, Brandon (Teresa) Rose, Mindy (Dan) Horn, Shannon (Matt) Brunette, and Trevor (Amanda) Paulus; as well as 14 great grandchildren. She also leaves brothers, Doug (Pat) Harman and Morford (Arlene) Harman, both of Florida; sisters, Linda (Butch) Hall of Tower and Kathy (Floyd) Booth of Onaway; sister-in-law, Londa Harman of Onaway; and many nieces and nephews.
Barb was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Glenn Robbins; great grandson, Landon Horn; brother, William "Bill" Harman; and her parents.
It was Barb's wish that there be no funeral services following her death. She will be honored by her family privately at a graveside service in the spring. Barb's final resting place will be at North Allis Township Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy please consider a donation in memory of Barbara to the Onaway Historical Society.
