Barbara Ailing, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away peacefully on November 28, 2024, at the age of 71. Born on February 17, 1953 in Canton, Ohio, Barb lived a life marked by dedication, and love. Barbara was a graduate of Lincoln High School and Walsh College. Barbara was a Registered Nurse, a retired Director of Nursing who even after retiring worked part time teaching STNA courses, and passing on her passion for patient care to others in the nursing field.

She was preceded in death by parents, Clinton and Doris Shanabarger; brother, Darrell Shanabarger and Russell Ailing.

Barbara is survived by her children, Kimberly Ailing, Bryan (Jessica) Ailing; grandchildren, Marissa (Stephen) Elliott, Johnathan (Melanie) Ailing and Serenity Ailing. great-grandchildren, Autumn Ailing and Emerson Elliott; and best friend of 50 years, Michaele Mercurio.

Barbara loved her family immensely, her love for her children and grandchildren knew no bounds. Her favorite thing in the world was being a Mimi to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The warmth and joy she brought into their lives will always be cherished, and her teachings will guide them in the years to come.
