Barbara Alldredge Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wilson Funeral & Cremation Service - Kingfisher on Feb. 24, 2026.
Barbara Ann Alldredge, 83, of Kingfisher, Oklahoma, passed away on February 21, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Barbara was born on September 21, 1942, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Rev. V.A. "Pete" Jones and Bessie Jones. She was raised in Duncan, where her father faithfully served as pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church until his passing in 1959. At a young age, Barbara began playing the organ in her father's church, a calling that became one of the greatest joys of her life and a lifelong expression of her faith.

She graduated from Duncan High School in 1960 and soon after moved with her mother to Elk City. There she began working as a hairdresser for Lou Alldredge. It was during this time that she met the love of her life, Robert Alldredge, who had returned home after attending pharmacy school at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. They were married in 1961, beginning a devoted partnership built on faith, hard work, and love that lasted for 52 years.

Following Robert's graduation, the couple moved to Kingfisher in 1964. From their union came three children: David, Alisa, and Stacy, who were the pride and joy of Barbara's life. Together, Barbara and Robert owned and operated Palace Drug before later opening Robert's Jewelry. Barbara lovingly managed the jewelry store, cherishing the friendships she built and the opportunity to serve the Kingfisher community. In 1992, she also served as a nursing home administrator at Cimarron Nursing Center.

After moving to Edmond for a few years, they returned to Kingfisher, where she remained deeply rooted in the community she loved. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church for over 60 years. Music was her passion- whether it was playing at church or for weddings and funerals; she played for the First Baptist Church for 40 years and the Catholic Church for 10 years. Beyond music, Barbara enjoyed playing games of all kinds, especially bridge, and treasured the fellowship and laughter shared around the table.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Robert; her son-in-law, Phil Gillard; her sister, Carolyn Booze; and her nephew, Mike Booze.

Barbara is survived by her son, David and wife Sandy of Oklahoma City; her daughter, Alisa Gillard of Austin; and her daughter, Stacy Rutledge and husband Jeff. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Tanner and wife Megan; Logan and girlfriend Taylor; and Holly and husband Sean; as well as her cherished great-grandchildren, Titus and Walker. She leaves behind many beloved extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

A service will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Kingfisher, with burial to follow at the Kingfisher Cemetery. Viewing will be held Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home.

Barbara will be remembered for her steadfast faith, her servant's heart, her musical talent, and her unwavering devotion to her family, her church, and her community.
