Barbara Allison

Mrs. Barbara (Spence) Allison of Millington, Michigan passed away early Saturday evening November 12, 2022, at the age of 92.
Barbara was born November 2, 1930, in Birmingham, Michigan and was the daughter of the late William & Carrie (Stalker) Spence. On May 20, 1950, Barbara married Walter V. Allison Jr. and together they celebrated in May of 2020 70 years of marriage. She along with Walter were members of the First Presbyterian Church in Caro, MI. After they both retired, she and Walt were active in many functions, one being active with the Millington Community Center, which included bingo every Wednesday evening. Barbara was immensely involved in all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren's lives, including attending sporting events, dance recitals, choir and musical concerts as well as traveling out of state for weddings and babies.
Barbara's greatest achievements were her family and is survived by her children: Walter V. (Dolores), daughter in-law Charlene, Cheryl (Michael), and Scott. Grandchildren: Heather (Jason), Amy (Steve), Jenny (Andrew), Joshua (LeAnn), Rachael (Christopher), Elizabeth, Sarah, Hannah, Kimberly (Wes) and William (Cassie). 17 great-grandchildren and 3-great-great grandchildren. She also leaves a brother and sister in-law, Robert & Maria Spence, several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Besides her parents and husband Barbara is also preceded in death by her son Mark, daughter-in-law Mary, great-grandson Jacob and great-grand-daughter Samantha.
The Allison family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, MI [4823 Main St] on Monday, Nov 21, 2022 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm and for a brief time on Tuesday, Nov 22, from 10:00a.m. until services begin. Funeral services will be held Tuesday November 22, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Hanlin Funeral Home with the burial to follow at the Millington Township Cemetery.
