Kenneth R. Thibo, 94, of Washington, IL. passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Carle Health Proctor in Peoria.
He was born on February 6, 1931, in. Bay City, MI, the son of George and Isabelle Collins Thibo. He married Ruth Herwyer on September 20, 1950, in Saginaw, MI and she passed away on April 17, 2018, in Washington. He later married Mary Kinkle on February 5, 2019 and she survives.
Also, surviving are four children: Keith D. (Christine) Thibo of Washington, IL; Gary D. (Lea) Thibo of Millington, MI; David C. (Barb) Thibo of Linden, MI; and Connie L. (Derek) Huff of Navarre, FL. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. One son, Timothy, and one brother, Donald, also preceded him in death.
He dedicated 33 years working with General Motors and retired in 1985. He was a cherished member of Bay View Baptist Church in Washington and passionately served in U.S. Missionary work across the country.
The services are scheduled for 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, with visitation commencing at 9:00 am, all taking place at Bay View Baptist Church. Pastor Brian Currier will preside over the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the Bay View Baptist Church.
