Barbara Anderson

Barbara June Anderson (nee Ming), previously of Bronx, New York, passed away on July 21, 2022.
She was the former wife of the late Jay Anderson of Baltimore, MD, and the mother of the late Stephen M. Anderson and the late Barbara W. Stanback (Anderson), she is survived by her granddaughters Kimberley J. Crossen (Stanback) (in-law Troy Crossen) of Queens, NY, Cassandra Petersen (Stanback) (in-law the late Tasha Petersen) of Brooklyn, NY and grandson Stephen M. Stanback (in-law Christopher Stanback) of Wellingron, FL, great-grandchildren Katisha Stanback, Andrea Crossen, Isaiah Stanback, William Russel, Ryan Sarvia, and Robert Tucker, and great-great grandchildren Jailen and Zyaire Stanback.
Born in the Bronx, NY to parents Julian Ming and Helen Irene Harrison, she moved around the city, but never left until she moved to Taunton, Massachusetts to live with her grandson for 18 months. She then moved back to NYC to live with her granddaughter in Queens for the last 12 months, as she missed living in the city.
Barbara spent many years as a legal secretary, after leaving college to pursue a career. She worked in some of the top law firms in the New York City before retiring.
Barbara loved to travel and made it a point to travel to many points of interest, including Hong Kong, Australia, Africa, the Middle East and MANY trips to Europe, as well as all over the United States.
Barbara enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and always completed the New York Times Crossword puzzle..in pen!
Barbara was well loved by those who met her, and will be deeply missed.
