Barbara Armstrong Obituary

Barbara L. Armstrong, age 92, of Meriden, passed away on January 13, 2026 following a long and uniquely beautiful life. For 71 years, she was the loving wife of Wayne K. Armstong. Barbara was born in Webster, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Henry and Blanche LaMountain. She was predeceased by her five brothers and one sister.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her cherished daughters Mary Beth Iacobelli and her husband John of Haddam, Nancy Kroeber and her husband Cliff of Southington, Pat Armstrong of Southington, Amy Clarke and her husband Doug of Guilford, and Jeanine Gouin and her husband Paul of Durham. Barbara's legacy includes her 11 grandchildren, their spouses, 14 great-grandchildren, 4 sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
Barbara's family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, January 19th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Rose Church, 35 Center St., Meriden, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Meriden. Love the picture. That´s exactly how I remember her, always smiling. So many childhood memories. My thoughts are with you all at this difficult time. Sorry I will be unable to attend the services but we are in Florida for the winter.
