Barbara Aster Obituary
November 4,1929- September 18,2023
Barbara L. Aster, 93, passed away on Monday, September 18,2023, at Karen Ann Quinlan Home For Hospice, Fredon, NJ.
She was born in Brooklyn, NY to Carl B.Aster and Florence( Hansen). Formerly of Upper Montclair, NJ, she resided at Mountain Lake, NJ for many years.
Barbara worked with her father in the family business, Aster Estates, prior to retiring. She was a world traveler with St. John, US Virgin Islands being one of her most favorite destinations.
Barbara loved animals. All animals. She adored Pekingese dogs and owned several, as well as many rescue dogs. She also rehabilitated many wild animals and generously donated to many animal charities.
Barbara is survived by Karen Iacobellis (Steve) Blairstown, Justin Iacobellis, Blairstown, Jenna Zablow(Aaron), Mason and Leo Zablow, Roseland,
Tanis O'Donnell, Tara Rakotz, Katya Rakotz and Talia Rakotz, Vista,CA. She is also survived by her long time friend, Shirley Fetzer, Toms River,NJ.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The family requests donations in Barbara's memory be given to an animal charity of personal choice.
