William Stephens Walker

William "Steve" Walker, 74, of Blairstown, NJ, passed away peacefully at his home on January 14, 2026. He was born on June 29, 1951, in Great Barrington, MA, to the late James and Marion (Wright) Walker.

Steve worked for Merck Pharmaceuticals for many years before retiring. Following his retirement, he remained active professionally as a self-employed consultant, offering his knowledge and expertise with dedication and care.

Steve had a lifelong passion for bowling, a sport he enjoyed for over 60 years. He was an active member of two bowling leagues and proudly served as secretary for both, roles he valued greatly. Another enduring love was his model train hobby, which began at the age of 12 and remained a treasured pastime throughout his life.

Steve also enjoyed watching movies and reading, particularly stories from the worlds of James Bond, Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, and Sherlock Holmes. A devoted sports fan, he loved watching English league football, with the Premier League being his favorite. Music was also important to him, and Yanni was his favorite musician.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Ellen Walker; his son, Paul James "PJ" Walker, and his fiancée, Gabriella; as well as extended family and friends who will deeply miss him. He was predeceased by his sister, Jenny Walker.

Steve will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his many interests, and the quiet joy he found in the things he loved most.
