Barbara Jean Vogtlin

Barbara Jean Vogtlin, 71 years young, of Keewatin, Minn., left this world all too soon on February 17, 2026. She passed away naturally at home, surrounded by family.

She was born in Hibbing, Minn., on September 30, 1954, to Joseph and Rose (Valencich) Rajacich. Barb grew up in Keewatin and graduated from Nashwauk Keewatin High School. She met the love of her life, Ken Vogtlin, in 1981, and they married a year later. Together, they started a loving family and were married for almost 44 years. She worked as a control room operator for 41 years with Kee-Tac and retired in 2014 to enjoy a good life with her loved ones. Barb loved spending time looking after her garden beds full of perennials, as well as fishing and taking trips to do a little gambling with Ken. Family came first with Barb as she loved her husband dearly, was proud of her children, and adored her grandchildren. She absolutely cherished spending time with and absolutely spoiling them. She lived life the right way and was loved by all who knew her.

Barb is survived by her husband, Ken Vogtlin; children Scott (Alia) Vogtlin, Tim (Abbie) Vogtlin, Anthony (Shirley) Vogtlin, and Sara (Matt) Vogtlin; cousin Roberta Koprevic; grandkids Matt (Whitney), Andrew, Emma, Tait, William, Abby, Laura, Sophia, Joseph, Edmund, and Michael; great-granddaughter, Stella; best friend and cousin, Roberta (Marc) Koprevic; beloved pups Willow and Cricket, along with numerous dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers George and Robert.

There will be a Memorial Mass of Christian burial held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2026, at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Nashwauk, Minn. Visitation will start at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place at a later time at the Nashwauk Cemetery.
