Obituary of Barbara Grace Bartrug
Barbara "Grace" Bartrug, 83, of Morgantown, passed away Friday, March 14, 2025 at her home. She was born February 15, 1942 in Morgantown, a daughter of the late George W. and Sarah (Grahm) Deuesenberry.
She worked for 25 years as an Insurance Supervisor at Mon General Hospital and attended Brookhaven United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher. She also formerly attended Sabraton Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family and many friends.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Richard "Dick" Bartrug; children, Shelley S. Buseman and her husband William and George R. Bartrug; granddaughter, Heather Cochran; great grandchildren, Carlee Cochran and Christina Farmer; siblings, Donald Deuesenberry and his wife Karen, Tom Deuesenberry and his wife Edys; Connie Eaglen, and Dollie Barker and her husband Dan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Wayne Deuesenberry and Art Deuesenberry; son-in-law, Carl Cochran; and daughter-in-law, Kelly Bartrug.
The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Amedisys Hospice, especially Emily, Amenda, Misty, Jill, Jenniffer, and Faith.
Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Thursday, March 20th from 3-7 PM and again on Friday, March 21st from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM with Rev. Stanley Merrifield officiating. Interment will follow at Nicholson Cemetery.
