Barbara Basilone

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Barbara Basilone, 77, Medina, Ohio on December 24, 2025. She was held in the love and presence of her family at the time of her passing.
Born on October 24, 1948 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Although Barbara moved away as a young woman, her pride for the city was known by all.
She is survived by her children, John Basilone IV and Becky Huber; and her cherished grandchildren, Malcolm Huber and Mara Basilone, who brought her immense joy. Barbara is also survived by her brothers, Harry Siwik and James Siwik (Joyce); and her nieces and nephews, Bryan (Eileen), Jeffrey (Hannah), Taylor, Harry (Cassidy), and Alyssa. She is also survived by her husband, John Basilone.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Helen (Mieczkowski) Siwik, and her beloved Basset Hound, Homer.
Barbara enjoyed playing bingo, shopping, and hosting family gatherings, but nothing meant more to her than spending time with her grandchildren. She also had a fondness for collecting Smurf figurines, a hobby that reflected her playful spirit.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
