Sharon Lee Bigley, 76, of
Medina, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on January 29, 2026. She was born on May 6, 1949, in Medina to the late Paul and Joann (Shaw) Jenny.
Sharon earned her associate degree and dedicated her career to serving others as an occupational therapy assistant. Helping others was at the core of who Sharon was, as were her genuine compassion, patience, and kindness. Caring for others came naturally to her, even after she retired. She still found ways to give back to others as she had taken the role of a care giver to the elderly. She always knew what was needed, gave without being asked, and never turned away anyone.
She was a radiant, God-loving soul, with a heart full of love and gentleness. Sharon could see beauty in every part of life. She recently picked back up painting, a hobby that brought so much joy to her. She enjoyed being outdoors, having a special fondness for flowers. She enjoyed gardening, planting flowers in the spring, and cows always made her smile. Sherry loved the ocean and the beach, and cherished her time spent in Florida. She felt peaceful at the beach.
When she wasn't painting, she could be found playing with her great grandchildren, running errands with her daughter or walking her beloved dog Bella, who was always one step behind her.
Her greatest joy, however was her family, especially her grandchildren, who kept her young, and were the light of her life. She delighted in their laughter, celebrated their achievements, and showered them with unconditional love. Sharon was a grandmother to all, not just by title but by heart. She loved being "grandma" and was exceptionally good at it. Endlessly patient, wonderfully funny, lighthearted, and outspoken, anyone who crossed her path felt deeply loved and welcomed.
She shaped our lives in ways both big and small, leaving a legacy of love that will live on in our hearts.
She is survived by her beloved children, Lory Vance and Michael Grenat (Miriam); grandchildren, Annie Grieve (Kraig), Lexie Grenat (Mike Malin), Steve Buechele Rachael Grenat, Nicole Wilson, and Grace Grenat; great-grandchildren, River, Isaac, Saige, Lincoln, Malcolm, Anaya, Leo, and Eliana.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved spouse of 15 years, Dana K. Bigley, and her sister, Paula Dedrick.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Waite Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St.,
Medina, OH 44256, on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., and one hour prior to the service on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lodi, where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Dana.
