Barbara Berry Obituary

A celebration of Barb's life will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Mount Hope Church, 202 S. Creyts Rd, Lansing, with Rev. Duane Feldpausch officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church. As Barb loved Valentine's Day and entered Heaven on that very morning, please feel free to join the family in adding a "pop of red" to your attire if you're able to attend.

She was born June 29, 1940 and grew up in Bellevue, Michigan where she met her sweetheart, Robert Berry. They married in 1958 and moved to Lansing where they raised three sons. Though at times she worked outside the home, her most treasured roles were as devoted wife and mother.
A woman filled with abundant joy in the Lord, her quick wit and contagious laughter were known to change the atmosphere of any room. Her ability to make everything fun has left her family with sweet-often hilarious-memories. Because of the faith and joy she brought into every circumstance, she has inspired so many to "rejoice and be glad" no matter what the day holds. It was in Barb's nature to be generous whenever she saw a need or simple opportunity to bless someone. Her prayers surpass her time on this earth, as she declared Scriptures over her family and generations yet to come. A longtime member of Mount Hope Church, she greatly enjoyed her years in the choir and made an eternal impact through her intercessory prayers for others. Her life will forever be an inspiration and testimony to the power of prayer, the joy of laughter, and the strength of family.
Barb was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert, of 60 years, and brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert (Rosa) Clay and James (Ginny) Clay. Left to cherish her memory are sons Vincent (Michelle), Kevin (Renee) and David (Toni); 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty (Rich) Lybarger; brother-in-law, Corlis; sister-in-law, Janet; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Mount Hope Church in honor of Barbara.

We want to express our sincere condolences on the transition of your mom to heaven. We have heard of her laughter and sense of humor by people we know at Mt. Hope. May the family rejoice that your dear mother is enjoying heaven with Jesus her Saviour.
