Barbara Bonebrake Obituary
Barbara Lee Bonebrake, 79, of New Sharon, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. A Private Family Inurnment will take place at a later date. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion is assisting the family.
Barbara was born on February 2, 1946, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Elmer and Bithea (Fisher) Mentzer. She attended Marion High School. On January 17, 1963, Barbara was united in marriage to Raymond “Ray” Guy Bonebrake Jr. Together, they had four children, and she made a loving home for them. Barbara enjoyed caring for her lawn and flowers. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Barbara is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband of 62 years, Ray; children, Rachele (Eric), Angela (Rick), and Allen; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Connie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robbie; and sisters, Pat and Mary.
