Barbara C. Brady

Barbara Brady, age 79, of Elmhurst, passed away peacefully March 7th, 2025. She was born September 1st, 1945, in Melrose Park, daughter of the late James P. and Florence (Kunkel) Caputo and sister of the late James E. Caputo.Barb was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Brady and was a loving aunt and great aunt to many wonderful and adoring nieces and nephews. Barb was a remarkable woman and had a significant effect on the lives of many. She was the kind of person who took you under her wing and taught you valuable life lessons. Barb made a point of treating everyone with kindness, generosity and took a genuine interest in them. She was always there if you needed her, a phone call away, and a second mother to many. She was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She brought joy and laughter anywhere she went, the life of the party! She lifted spirits with her positive attitude, never burdened anyone and always helped others share their load.Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and an unwavering faith in God. She had a profound impact on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her passing will leave a huge void in the hearts of her family, friends, coworkers and many more whose lives she touched. Visitation is at Pederson Ryberg Funeral Home, 435 N York St, Elmhurst, on Thursday March 13th, 2025, from 8:30a to 10am. Mass to follow at Sacred Heart Church 819 N 15th Ave, Melrose Park from 11am to 12pm. Burial will follow at Mount Emblem Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St Jude, ASPCA and K-9 Hero Project in her memory.
