Barbara (nee-Barker) Bucchieri, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2024, at the Mira Vie Assisted Living Facility in Montville. She was 83 years old.
Born and raised in West New York, NJ, Barbara was the cherished daughter of Leila and Myron Barker and the proud sister to five siblings. Fifty-three years ago, she moved to Parsippany with her husband, Joe, and their children, creating a loving home filled with joy. In 2019, she transitioned to Mira Vie, where she embraced a new chapter in her life.
Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Bucchieri (1999), their child Baby Joseph (1965), son-in-law, Robert Stuart, and three sisters-Marion, Ellen, and Norma-as well as her two brothers, Kenny and Robbie.
A woman of remarkable spirit, Barbara's greatest passion was her family. She had a unique ability to light up any room she entered, her laughter infectious and her joy unwavering. Her family and friends will always remember her for the warmth she radiated and the love she shared.
In 2019, Barbara moved to Mira Vie Assisted Living in Montville beginning her next chapter to a very special and purposeful life. She quickly became a beloved figure, even being voted "mayor" by her peers due to her kind heart and her efforts to make new residents feel welcomed and at home in an unfamiliar place.
You could always find Barbara playing BINGO, engaging in board games, participating in Bible study, crafting, and singing along with entertainers, all of which showcased her vibrant spirit and zest for life. Her influence at Mira Vie will surely be felt for years to come.
Barbara is survived by her loving children: Michael Bucchieri, Cheryl Stuart, and Linda Terry and her husband, Troy, along with her adored grandchildren, Travis Stuart and his wife, Jessica, Brittany Stuart & Zac Dispoto, Dominick Terry, and her great-grandson, Landon Stuart.
Barbara will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her unconditional love and infectious spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
