Barbara Louise Bury

Bury, Barbara Louise 55, of Mpls. passed away peacefully March 15 after a brief battle with cancer. Preceded in death by her father Curtis Bury; grandmothers Marie Bury and Margaret Szymanksi; grandfathers Lewis Bury and Walter Szymanksi; aunt Patricia Craven; uncles Ted Craven and Lee Lundgren; and sister-in-law Kay (Greg) Bury. Survived by mother Janet Bury; sister Terri (Greg) Mason; sister Sarah Bury; brothers Greg and Tim (Tricia) Bury; nephews Ben and Spencer Bury; and niece Grace Bury. Born in Minneapolis, Barb graduated from Robbinsdale Cooper High School and Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, where she majored in foreign languages (Spanish, French and Italian) and minored in business. Barb attended Wooddale Church, Loring Park, where she was involved in small groups and served in the usher, Fare for All, and various other ministries. She found great joy in life by helping others whenever she was able to do so. She was employed at Medica, where she worked on the customer service team. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 21, 5 7 p.m. at the Washburn McReavy Eden Prairie Chapel. The funeral will be held Monday, March 22 at 11 a.m. at Wooddale Church in Eden Prairie.
