Barbara H. Buttafuoco

Barbara H. Buttafuoco, 97, of Enfield, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025. Born in Hartford on April 15, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Josephine (O'Connell) Ely.

Barbara made her home in Enfield for more than 60 years. She retired from CT Shower Doors and was a devoted communicant of Holy Family Church. For many years, she volunteered with Enfield Loaves and Fishes, reflecting her generous spirit and commitment to helping others. Barbara also cherished the simple joys of life, especially her weekly teatime gatherings with her wonderful friends and neighbors.

She is survived by her children: her daughter, Kathleen Bartholomew and her husband Gary; her son, Paul Buttafuoco and his wife Rosa; and her daughter-in-law, Carol Ann Barnes and her husband Tim. Barbara was a loving grandmother to Eric Bartholomew and his wife Tracy, Sarah Bartholomew, Jessica Granucci and her husband Chris, Danielle Buttafuoco, Anthony Buttafuoco, and Maria Buttafuoco. She also leaves behind four great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Peter Buttafuoco, in 2000.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather with the family on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. A Funeral Home Service will follow at 12:00 p.m., with burial at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield.
