Barbara Leone Rice Cearley, 73, of Newberry, died Saturday, September 20, 2025 at her home.
Born on December 24, 1951 in Fayetteville, NC, she was a daughter of the late Robert B. and Marian Rice. She was a CNA and retired from J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home. Mrs. Cearley was a member of Faith Assembly of God where she was a member of the Golden Girls. She loved spending time on the water and sitting on her porch with her family.
She is survived by Truman Cearley; a daughter, Rebecca (Richard Brown) Graham of Newberry; sons, Robert (Amanda Bouknight) Cearley of Prosperity and John Cearley of Newberry; a grandson, Joshua (Clara) Graham; 2 step-grandchildren, Tyler (Adriane Morris) Bouknight and Breanna (Gabriel Harmon) Bouknight; a great-grandchild, Briana Graham; and a special family friend, who was like a son, Jason Long.
She was predeceased by a brother, James R. Rice and by a sister, Patricia Moon.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to Adriane for taking such good care of Barbara and to Bernardo Health Hospice for their love and care.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 10:00 am, Saturday, September 27, 2025 at her home.
