Barbara Ann Cloud, age 66, of Newark, DE, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023.
Born in Niagara Falls, NY on December 12, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Paul Cowan and Judy Cowan. Barb was a graduate of University of Delaware with a degree in Biology and worked in sales and marketing on and off for her entire life. During that time she wore many hats, sales executive, Real-estate agent, homemaker, marketing strategist, owner of an IT consulting firm, tax consultant, event promotions, floral designer and mystery shopper.
Her career and personal life brought her into contact with hundreds of people from diverse lifestyles, backgrounds and career paths, and she was everyone's friend. Whether you lived in the apartment across the hall, were the next door neighbors or were from British Columbia on a tour bus in Memphis, TN; she was friendly and likable to a fault. Above all else she was fiercely committed to her children and protective of her family.
Barbara is survived by her children Stephanie Griffith, Andrew Hackendorn (Kate), and Christopher Hackendorn (Jeny); her older brother Robert Cowan (Carol); and her younger sister Jennifer Bradle (Mike); her grandchildren Natalie, Ellie and Lexi; and Brian her husband of 23 years.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 11 am.
In deference to the first responders and those that maybe at risk due to health or age, we ask that face masks be worn while indoors.

Barbara, you are the flora and the fauna. Ride your bicycle up and down Concord Pike and beyond. May as many of the pieces in your puzzle come together in love to find their ever-changing places in your life on earth and beyond. I love you. Hug Bill for me in heaven.
