Barbara L. Coleman

Barbara Prugar Coleman, 93, of Delmont, formerly of Plum, passed away, June 16, 2025, at Ark Manor. Prior to her retirement in 1992, she was employed by JC Penny in the Monroeville Mall for 16 years as a department head and in customer service. Since her retirement she spent the next few decades caring for cats at Animal Friends where she also chaired fundraisers and was the assistant to the volunteer coordinator. She survived by four sons, David and his wife Kathy of Easton Pa, Mark and his wife Dale of Friday Harbor Wash, Eric of Monroeville Pa, and Todd and his wife Jackie of Albuquerque NM. Six grandchildren, Jason, Joshua, Bradley, Zachary, Bryan, and Stevie Prugar. Eight great-grandchildren, Dylon, Breanna, Jeannie, James, Brady, Bret, Daphne, and Gwendolyn Prugar. She also survived by her stepsons, Daniel Coleman and his wife Marylou, Michael Coleman of Pittsburgh, and granddaughters, Hollie and Erin Coleman, and grandson Ryan Coleman. She is survived by sister Patricia Conway of Pittsburgh as well as nephews, Daniel and Keith Conway, Sean and Kellie McCalmont.

Family and friends will be received from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm, Friday, June 20, 2025, at the Vaia Funeral Home Inc., 463 Athena Dr. Delmont, (724-468-1177).

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Barbara's memory may be made to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Rd, Pittsburgh PA 15237.
