Departed this life on Thursday August 29, 2024. Ms. Barbara Jean Colter, age 79, of Chesterfield, formerly of Louisa. She is preceded in death by her son, Gregory Colter. She is survived by one daughter, Yolanda Noble(William Jr.); five grandchildren, Errion, William III, Mekhi, Camden and Isaiah; two great grandchildren, Eric Puller Jr. and Kaiden Williams; one sister, Gracie L. Cooke; one brother, Stuart W. Cooke(Jane); a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Saturday 11AM at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 812 N. 25th Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. David Frazier(pastor) off. Interment family cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45AM Saturday.
