Barbara "Bobbie" Dean Cope, 92, of Cleveland, TN passed away on August 12th at a local hospital. She was a member of Waterville Baptist Church, where she attended until she wasn't able. She and her husband, Buddy, owned and operated Cope's Restaurant for many years until they retired. She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, C.F. "Buddy" Cope; mother, Delta Snyder; grandson, Jason Cope; infant daughter, Karen Sue Cope; brothers and sisters: Marie Howard, Mildred Maples, O.D. Davis, Breman Davis, and Lake Davis. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Rick Cope (Teresa) and Alan Cope (Debbie); grandchildren: Jonathan Cope (Amber), Whitney Culley (Michael), Jeremy Calhoun (Ashley), and Ryan Cope; great-grandchildren: Beau & Lilly Cope, Aubrey and Harper Culley, Camden Calhoun, Cami Cope, Kaley Cope, Luka Aragon, and Zivi Aragon; great-great grandchild, Hayes Frazier; sister, Wilma Nipper; special niece, Jan Dishroon. Her family will receive friends from 4pm until 7pm on Wednesday August 14th at Companion Funeral & Cremation Service in the "Ridge Chapel." A celebration of Bobbie's life will be held at 10am on Thursday August 14th with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Jonathan Cope, Michael Culley, Jeremy Calhoun, Scott Nipper, Greg Trotter, and Dennie Norman will serve as pallbearers and David Dill and Gene Jones will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family would like to express special thanks to the staff of the hospital and Kaylin, Steve, and Luke for their excellent care toward Barbara and the staff of the TN Veterans Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Waterville Baptist Church.
