Donna Gayle Coe, age 69, passed away on February 8, 2026.
Donna was a devoted Christian who faithfully followed Jesus. She found joy in life's simple pleasures and especially loved camping, painting, puzzles, coloring, listening to music, and spending precious time with her family. Her gentle spirit, creativity, and loving heart touched everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald William Coe; her mother, Carol Jean Scoggins Coe; and her niece, Sarah Elizabeth Slaughter.
She is survived by her beloved son, whom she loved with all of her heart, Donald Peyton Coe (Tori Ellison); her sister, Deborah Lee Coe Slaughter (Glenn); nieces, Brittnee Dawn Slaughter, Betsy Jane Slaughter Arrowood (Patrick), Gwendolyn Brucie Slaughter, Maggie Elizabeth Arrowood, and Sarah Brynlee Gracie Arrowood; nephew, James Donald Arrowood (Ocean and Oakley Jones); her namesake, Melissa Gayle Moore Brown; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Donna will also be missed greatly by her two beloved weenie dogs, Walter and Buddy, who brought her much comfort and joy.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Companion Funeral Home, located at 2415 Georgetown Road, Cleveland, Tennessee 37311. Donna will be laid to rest at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery, with Zachary Trew, Benjamin Michael, Zachary Arrowood, Michael Brown, and Timmy Dion serving as pallbearers.
Donna's love, faith, and gentle presence will be remembered always by those who knew and loved her.
