Barbara Jean Correia, age 70, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at her daughter's home in Batesville, MS.
Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, February 8, 2025, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Eureka Cemetery near Courtland, MS. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. Saturday until service time.
Barbara Jean was born on August 4, 1954 in Sardis, Mississippi to the late Cecil E. McMinn and Dorothy Jean Ellis McMinn. She was a retired account manager for an industrial staffing service and a devoted member of the Hosanna Family Worship Center. Her faith guided her through all aspects of her life and nurtured her relationships with those around her. Her warmth and kindness were felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Barbara Jean cherished her hobbies, which included sewing, working in her yard, and spending quality time with her beloved grandchildren. Family gatherings were a particular joy for Barbara, as she loved to cook for her loved ones, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
The family she leaves behind includes her two daughters, Kimberly Russell (Chris) and Crystal Dawn Mills both of Batesville, MS; and her beloved grandchildren, Levi Martin, Phoenix Barringer, Emma Purser, and Peyton Russell.
Along with her parents, she is reunited with her three sisters, Sherry Ann Bolton, Brenda Gail Campbell, and Wanda Mae Shields.
