Barbara Cullen

Barbara Anne Cullen, of Waterford, passed away on December 7, 2024 at the age of 96. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 1, 1928 to Walter and Margaret (nee McCormick) Cullen. Barbara had a deep faith and was a proud member of the National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica, Royal Oak. Barbara's love for hockey started at an early age, and was a devoted Red Wings fan. When she was able, she would make her way down to Olympia Stadium to meet up with friends and catch a game. She was also an avid traveler. Barbara enjoyed to cook. Her family has fond memories of many wonderful family meals.
Barbara may not have had a large family, but her family was anchored in love and support. Her nieces and nephews took joy in caring for her as she got older, and relished in making memories with her. She is survived by cherished nephews and nieces, Rob, Mark, Mike, Brian, Fran, and Katie; and by many loving cousins. Barbara will be dearly missed.
A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at the National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica, 2100 12 Mile Rd., Royal Oak, instate from 9:30 a.m. until the time of her mass at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Southfield, at a later date.
