Barbara K. Dolley

Barbara K. Conner Dolley age 87, of Orchard St., Savona, NY passed away peacefully Sept. 5, 2025 with her family by her side at Guthrie Corning Hospital.

Barbara was born on September 14, 1937 to Theodore C. Conner Sr. and Alverda A. (Newell) Conner.

Barbara married Joseph G. Dolley on July 20, 1957. She and Joe raised seven children together. Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Joseph and son, Joseph C. Dolley.

Barbara was employed by Corning Glass Works as a polisher for Steuben Glass - working along side her husband, Joe for many years as a great and well respected team. Barbara, along with her husband Joe, enjoyed going all out with holiday decorating, time with family and casino fun. She was also an avid reader, enjoyed crocheting for many projects, loved her flower gardens, cooked with old fashion flare and was well known for her witty sense of humor. She enjoyed her time as a member of the VFW and American Legion.

Barbara is survived by six of her seven children: Karin (Skip) Covert of Seneca SC, Janice (Dale) Pettitt of Pine City, Kathleen (Roger) Van Vorce of Newark Valley, Penny (Brian) Schoonover of Bath, Christina (Roy) Preston of Corning, Francis Dolley of Savona; sister-in-law, Emma Dolley West of Petersburg VA; grandchildren: Michele (Jeff) Crimmins, Heather (Mark) Wray, John (Marie) Pettitt, Casey Schoonover (Harlan) Nolt, Dylan (Elaina) Schoonover, Brandon (Rachel) Smith, Jessica VanVorce; great-grandchildren: Haven, Jason, Ashlyn, Gabriel, Xavier, Lily, Charles, Credence; great-great grandchild, Nathaniel - son of Jason and Sierra; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to a calling hour on Sunday, September 14, 2025 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at Phillips Funeral Home, 17 W. Pulteney St., Corning, NY. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 1:00 pm, Pastor Kevin Austin officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the family plot in Seamans Cemetery, Savona.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Barbara's name to the Savona Volunteer Fire Department, 17 McCoy St, Savona, NY 14879.
