Barbara Hope Dubrico, 83, of Roseville passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 15, 2024, surrounded by her family.
She was born on May 29, 1941, in Hazard, Kentucky, daughter of the late Franklin and Alberta Smith.
Barbara had a yearning for knowledge and earned her associate's degree in nursing. She would go on to hold dedicated careers, first working as a nurse for many years, then she would work at Consumers Energy until her retirement.
Barbara married James Dubrico on November 28th, 1982 and they enjoyed 41 years of marriage.
She was a creative spirit and had a passion for painting. She also enjoyed reading books and was a devoted member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Roseville. Most of all she loved being with her family grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by her beloved husband, James Dubrico; her children, David "Dave" Jessie, Mary Lou (Tim) Cannon, Jeffrey "Jeff" Jessie, and Victoria "Kathy" (Matthew) Walker; her 15 grandchildren; her 11 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Paige Clevinger, Sally Childress, and David Smith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William "Bill" Jessie; her daughter, Diane (Tony) Bushey; her step-son, Anthony "Tony" Dubrico; and her two brothers, Charles Smith, and Inster "Inky" Smith.
A celebration of Barbara's life will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a memorial service beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Memorial-Bower Rose Funeral Home, 222 North Main Street, Marine City, Michigan 48039. Reverend Dr. G. Patrick Thompson will officiate.

She was a wonderful person. I'm sorry to hear of her passing. Prayers for the family, my kin. She was so good to us, we called her Aunt Hope.
