Obituary
Barbara Ann Dugdale passed away on November 6, 2022, at St. Elizabeth hospital in Appleton, WI, after a short illness.
Barb was born in Houghton on April 9, 1939, to Henry and Lorraine Buckman. She was graduate of Houghton High School and worked as a secretary for many years until her retirement. In her younger years, she was an active member of the Runeberg Lodge in Dollar Bay, enjoyed traveling, square dancing, and camping. She loved all animals and would take in the misfits that no one else wanted and give them a wonderful home. Barb always had a book or two in progress, enjoyed watching movies, tv shows about animals, and football, especially the Green Bay Packers. She had a great sense of humor and wonderful laugh.
She is survived by her daughters, Sandy Cooley of Larsen WI, and her favorite, Karen Dugdale of Houghton, her sister, Patricia (Tom) Banfield of Houghton, two grandchildren, Carlyn Cooley (Dustin Nighbor) and Tyler Cooley, one great grandchild, Eli Nighbor, niece Nancy Banfield, nephew Peter Banfield, and her beloved cat, Emma.
There will be a private memorial for Barbara. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to the Copper Country Humane Society in her memory.
