Susan was born in Wilmington, DE, on August 2, 1952, a daughter of Frederick E. and Alda M. (Eldridge) Dugdale. She was raised and educated in Branford, Connecticut and graduated from Branford High School. She was a figure skater and competed in local events. She attended Colby College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1974. She then attended Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, earning a Master of Science degree in library science.

She worked for several years in Massachusetts, supporting small business computer systems. She subsequently worked in the business services group and as an OpenVMS product manager for Digital Equipment Corporation in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. She retired from Compaq after they acquired Digital.

Upon retiring from the computer industry, she started her own bookkeeping business, Caesar’s Brook Business Solutions LLC, which she ran until 2023 when she fully retired.

Susan enjoyed sewing, knitting and particularly quilting. She liked to listen to audiobooks. She loved to cook, collecting hundreds of recipes and a large collection of cookbooks covering many styles of cuisine. She also enjoyed traveling and sightseeing. Susan always looked forward to an annual trip on the schooner Mary Day.

Susan was always fond of cats, and she and her husband Tom, shared their home with many cats over the years. She is survived by two cats, Binx and Baby Girl, who were adopted in 2023 through the “Seniors for Seniors” program of the Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire.

Family members include her loving husband of 37 years, Thomas P. Blinn of Amherst, NH; a sister, Marilyn Dugdale; and a niece, Jennifer McLay, both of Homer, Alaska; a nephew, Nelson Swett, of Salt Lake City, Utah. She is also survived by six great nieces and nephews and their families.
