Joseph R. Burnett, known as Joey or Joe, passed away unexpectedly at home on August 27, 2025 in Wilton, New Hampshire. He was 42 years old.
Born on September 21, 1982 in Great Falls, Montana, Joey lived a life defined by his own rules, his one-of-a-kind spirit, and sense of humor like no other. Joey was the son of Randall Burnett and Wanda (Waters) Burnett. Alongside his younger sister Dana, Joey would experience an adventurous childhood travelling the world with his family during his father’s service in the U.S. Air Force.
These journeys fostered in him a deep appreciation for different people, places, and the great outdoors.
After settling in NH, Joey would graduate Nashua High School in 2001 and would soon find his calling working construction as a carpenter. Outside of work, Joey was happiest playing hockey, riding his BMX bike with friends, spending time with his Basset Hound Gordie, or casting a line alongside a quiet pond.
Through these joys, Joey created lasting memories and friendships.
Joey is survived by his three daughters Madison, Mabel, and Verity; his parents Randy and Wanda Burnett of Wilton, NH; and his sister Dana with her husband George of Wilton, NH.
He leaves behind many friends who will remember his quirks, and his remarkable individuality.
