I´m heartbroken to hear of Barbara´s passing. I owe her so much. She played for me many many times and was always an example of excellence to all. Our birthdays were only two weeks apart and we were close friends from Jr. High on. Please accept my condolences to each of her children. She loved you all so dearly. Janice Tanner Nelson

I had the honor and privilege of taking piano from "Mrs. E." For 9 years! Oh how I dreaded waking up at 6 am in the morning for my weekly lesson (I´ve never been a morning person). However, as soon I would enter the front room of her house she would be sitting there in her chair with a smile and would greet me with such a cheery "good morning" that I couldn´t help but feel happy and glad to be there!
Barbara always had a way of pulling more from me than I wanted to give! She was positive and excited about teaching and pushing her students to perform at their best! Because of her efforts, her patience with me, her love, her determination and passion, I have a passion and love for playing that piano still, almost 30 years later!
I had the privilege of being in many productions with Jerry as well, and I have such a love for him and miss his amazing and fun spirit! What a sweet reunion for Jerry and Barbara. Two remarkable people who will forever be a core part of who I am today.
With love and blessings of peace,
Sara Gibbons Foote
