Barbara Farthing Obituary
April 8th, 2025 at the age of 75Barbara Elaine Farthing, age 75, of Haleyville, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
She was born September 26, 1949, in Greencastle, Indiana to Paul and Helen Farthing. Barbara loved jewel art painting, sewing, and gardening. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family and friends. Barbara was a proud member of Littleville United Methodist Church in Haleyville.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 3:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Littleville United Methodist Church in Haleyville, with a funeral service to follow beginning at 5:00 p.m. Burial will be at Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery in Haleyville. Brother Dylan Scott will officiate.
Barbara is survived by her brothers, Robert Farthing, Lowell Farthing; sisters, Cheryl Wiles, Carla Kennington; nephews, Jesse Farthing, Donnie Smith, Paul Farthing; niece, Lisa Farthing; and a host of other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Helen Farthing; brothers, Larry Farthing, JD Farthing, Paul Farthing; and sisters, Nancy Williams, and Phyllis Wright.
